Spectral Deconvolution Analysis of Mafic Mineral in Irregular Mare Patches on the Moon

Irregular mare patches (IMPs), recently discovered on the Moon, are eruptions of magma lunar surface, and their origins still in question. While prior studies IMPs have mainly focused optical image analysis, this study, an analysis characteristics minerals is performed exemplary for first time. Modified Gaussian model (MGM) deconvolution was applied to infrared spectrum confirm properties mafic mineral. Mafic were analyzed 6 olivine-rich (Ol-rich) out 91 currently reported, only 4 them yielded results significance. All four sites showed more abundance Fe than Mg, manifested a weak relationship with Mg-suite rock. However, problem during MGM application process due pilot implementation. In order solve problem, it required adjust initial condition settings precisely increase signal noise ratio observation data. Moreover, necessary analyze mineral all considering other Ol utilize deduce origin IMPs.
